🏆 Maria Figueroa Elected CWCA Support Staff of the Year (2025)!

We are thrilled to announce that our Administrative Assistant and Intake Specialist, Maria Figueroa, has been elected this year’s Child Welfare Contributing Agency (CWCA) Support Staff of the Year!

Maria has been an invaluable asset to our agency for 12 years. Her dedication, organizational skills, and friendly demeanor make an impact daily.

Highlights of Maria's Contributions:

  • Mentorship: She recently trained a new Intake Specialist, enabling the employee to quickly adapt to the vital role.

  • Interstate Services Intake: In her role as an Intake Specialist, Maria thoughtfully guides prospective caregivers through the initial home study process, shaping their first positive impression of the agency and setting the stage for permanency for children.

  • Bilingual Support: Maria's bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are crucial. She assists all agency programs by engaging with Latino clients, providing interpretation in sensitive situations, and translating essential agency documents, ensuring effective service delivery and building trust.

  • Team Player: Consistently regarded as capable, proficient, and helpful, Maria is always willing to take on new tasks and lend a hand, making her input vital to the agency's success.

Our agency and the families we serve are significantly better off with Maria as part of the team. Congratulations, Maria!
